A simbiose transcende a natureza. E quando essa relação é baseada no mutualismo, existências distintas encontram-se e transformam-se, de maneira a garantir espaço, segurança e vida uma à outra. Enquanto existem e resistem nesse lugar em comum, onde começam e terminam o eu e o nós? Na sua série em desenvolvimento “morfologia da simbiose”, a artista Julee Pinto utiliza dois biomateriais: a biocerâmica e o bioplástico, em busca da possibilidade de criar uma associação sim biótica entre eles e de encontrar a sua forma idealizada de representação.
Symbiosis transcends nature. When this relationship is based on mutualism, distinct existences meet and transform each other in ways that guarantee each other space, security and life. While existing and enduring in this common place, where do the I and the we begin and end? In her developing series “morphology of symbiosis”, the artist Julee Pinto uses two biomaterials: bioceramics and bioplastics, in search of the possibility of creating a symbiotic association between them and of finding their idealised form of representation.

Natural de Curitiba, Brasil, e a viver entre a sua cidade natal e Lisboa, Julee Pinto é uma artista licenciada em Arte Multimédia pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa.
Em seus trabalhos, a artista utiliza diversos suportes, como processos fotográficos alternativos e experimentais, peças esculturais e biomateriais para expressar suas percepções sobre temas como a espiritualidade, o inconsciente, o feminino e suas interseccionalidades, sempre à procura de materializar esses temas tão etéreos e intrínsecos à vida da artista.
Born in Curitiba, Brazil, and living between her hometown and Lisbon, Julee Pinto is an artist with a degree in Multimedia Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
In her works, the artist uses several supports, such as alternative and experimental photographic processes, sculptural pieces and biomaterials to express her perceptions on themes such as spirituality, the unconscious, the feminine and its intersectionalities, always seeking to materialize these themes so ethereal and intrinsic to the artist’s life.
