A conferência «FEMeeting: Mulheres em Arte, Ciência e Tecnologia» foi  impulsionada pelo desejo de desenvolver e promover uma mais directa  colaboração ao nível de projectos artísticos e de investigação entre indivíduos que  se identificam com o sexo feminino. O projecto FEMeeting teve início em 2017, sendo resultado da colaboração entre a artista plástica Marta de Menezes e a cientista social Dalila Honorato após a constatação de que, no campo da ciência e arte contemporânea, as mulheres têm uma presença visível tanto em festivais  como em congressos internacionais. 

FEMeeting: Taos 2023, será realizado de 23 a 30 de julho de 2023 na cidade de Taos – Novo México, Estados Unidos. O FEMeeting: Taos 2023 é organizado pelo FEMeeting em colaboração com Agnes Chavez, fundadora do STEMarts Lab (El Prado, NM) e Marta de Menezes, atualmente bolseira Fulbright 2023 na Universidade do Novo México. Esta é uma oportunidade extraordinária para estabelecer contacto direto com instituições locais e dirigir-se a públicos fora da sala de conferências. Os anfitriões dos nossos workshops/demos/palestras são: Taos Pueblo Education & Training Division/Oo-oo nah Art Center , UNM-Taos HIVE, Imagine Children’s Museum e Stem Santa Fe/Northern New Mexico College. O nosso anfitrião para a sessão pública de 29 de julho de 2023 é o auditório Arthur Bell Harwood, em parceria com o Harwood Museum of Art em Taos. A Sci Art Santa Fe acolherá a segunda sessão pública no dia 30 de julho de 2023, que terá lugar no SITE Santa Fe com participantes seleccionados do FEMeeting Taos 2023 como um LASER (Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous).

Este encontro do FEMeeting em Taos, Novo México, é uma oportunidade para abordar questões comunitárias como a saúde, a segurança, a diversidade e a sustentabilidade de todas as mulheres, no quadro dos direitos internacionais em matéria de igualdade de género e de empoderamento das mulheres, e especialmente para descobrir as actividades das mulheres indígenas e das mulheres que trabalham com povos e culturas indígenas.

EN// The conference “FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology” was driven by the desire to develop and promote a more direct collaboration at the level of artistic and research projects between individuals who identify with the female gender. The FEMeeting project started in 2017, 1 being the result of the collaboration between the artist Marta de Menezes and the social scientist Dalila Honorato after the observation that, in the field of contemporary science and art, women have a visible presence both in festivals and international congresses.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to establish direct contact with local institutions and address audiences outside of the conference hall. Our workshops/demos/talks hosts are: Taos Pueblo Education & Training Division/Oo-oo nah Art Center , UNM-Taos HIVE, Imagine Children’s Museum and Stem Santa Fe/Northern New Mexico College. Our host for the public session on July 29, 2023 is the Arthur Bell Harwood auditorium in partnership with Harwood Museum of Art in Taos. Sci Art Santa Fe will be hosting the second public session on July 30, 2023 which will be held at SITE Santa Fe with selected participants of FEMeeting Taos 2023 as a LASER (Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous).

This FEMeeting gathering in Taos, New Mexico is an opportunity to address community issues such as all women’s health, security, diversity and sustainability, in the framework of international rights on gender equality and women empowerment, and especially to uncover the activities of indigenous women and women working with indigenous peoples and cultures.
