Ser todo e aos pedaços. Pedaços que ficam sem traço, e que existem sem embaraço.
Um todo sem a noção de partes, uma anulação de fases, de pontos e impasses que existiram por toda a parte sem serem aceites neste pedaço. Ser e só ver bocados, mas existir em todos os lados, deitar fora uma parte e ela existir sem exato. Reconhecer o todo que fez os pedaços, uma transformação de fado que pertence ao passado, mas persiste aqui ao lado.
O conjunto de peças surge como reflexão sobre a noção de identidade e as suas diferentes facetas passadas que persistem no presente, utilizando a memória como ponte para a exploração do desenvolvimento destas partes como seres separados e próprios. Aqui os cabelos que enfeitam o nosso corpo, unidos pelo propósito representativo de sentido de identidade, encontram-se com a mesma vida que os cabelos que ficaram na escova onde pertencem imediatamente ao lixo. Como um todo que se parte, cria raiz e renasce.
Ser todo e aos pedaços. Pedaços que ficam sem traço, e que existem sem embaraço. [Being whole and in pieces. Pieces that remain without a trace and exist without embarrassment.]
A wholeness without the perception of its parts. An annulment of phases, marks and deadlocks that existed everywhere without being accepted. To be and only to be able to see pieces, while existing everywhere, throwing away a part that continues existing without exactness. Recognising the whole that made the pieces, a transformation of fade that belongs to the past, but persists next door.
This set of pieces emerges as a reflection on the notion of identity and its different past facets that persist in the present, using memory as a bridge to explore the development of these parts as separate beings. Here, the hairs that adorn our bodies, united by the representative purpose of a sense of identity, find themselves with the same destiny as the hairs left in the brush, where they immediately belong in the trash. Like a whole that breaks apart, grows roots and reborns.

Nuno Sousa é um artista visual cujo foco é a relação entre memórias e experiências estéticas com a arte digital. O trabalho manifesta-se sobretudo em conteúdos digitais e peças interativas. Com uma licenciatura em produção de conteúdos interativos e multimédia, entrou no programa Erasmus onde estudou cinema na Faculdade de Rádio e Televisão Krzysztof Kieslowki. A sua especialização é a modelação e renderização de conteúdos 3D, sendo este o pano de fundo de muitas das suas colaborações técnicas como freelancer.
Atualmente é professor de modelação 3D no Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas do Douro (ISCE Douro) e faz parte da equipa da Cultivamos Cultura, onde é responsável pela digitalização do acervo da instituição, resultante dos encontros entre arte contemporânea, ciência e tecnologia. As suas investigações e publicações têm-se baseado na aplicação de conhecimentos técnicos digitais em conceitos teóricos e criativos.
Nuno Sousa is a visual artist, teacher, and researcher, with a focus in the relationship between memories and aesthetic experiences with digital art. His work manifests itself mostly in digital content and interactive pieces. Nuno has a Masters degree in Contemporary Art Creation, and a degree in Production of Interactive Content and Multimedia. Sousa participated in the Erasmus program, where he studied Cinema at the Krzysztof Kieslowki Faculty of Radio and Television. His specialization is modelling and rendering of 3D content, this being the background for many of his technical collaborations as a freelancer.
Nuno is currently a 3D modeling teacher at the Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas do Douro (ISCE Douro), and part of the team of Cultivamos Cultura, where he is responsible for the digitization of the institution collection. His research and publications have examined the application of digital technical knowledge to theoretical and creative concepts.

Sofia Mordido Aires (1999, Beja) é uma artista e designer portuguesa, natural de Vila Nova de Milfontes, licenciada em Escultura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, onde atualmente frequenta o Mestrado em Design para a Sustentabilidade.
Desenvolve um corpo de trabalho variado, explorando maioritariamente os temas de identidade e memória, tal como a ponte entre o privado e o público, através da Ourivesaria (nível 4 QRQ, António Arroio), Medalhística, Cerâmica, Instalações e de Design de Serviços e de Produto.
Sofia Mordido Aires (1999, Beja) is a Portuguese artist and designer, born in Vila Nova de Milfontes, with a degree in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, where she is currently studying for a Masters in Design for Sustainability.
She develops a varied body of work, mostly exploring the themes of identity and memory, as well as the bridge between the private and the public, through jewellery (level 4 QRQ, António Arroio), medals, ceramics, installations and service and product design.
