Traço de Território é um projeto de ilustração e pintura que parte da prática da tatuagem para observar o território como um corpo coletivo, marcado por gestos humanos, naturais e simbólicos. Através de caminhadas, desenho e encontros informais com a comunidade, a artista irá recolher e traduzir essas “marcas” em obras criadas com pigmentos naturais e materiais sustentáveis. O projeto valoriza a colaboração, mantendo-se aberto a evoluir de forma natural ao longo da residência, em diálogo com o lugar e as pessoas. O processo culminará numa instalação que partilha com a comunidade as cartografias visuais construídas em conjunto.
Mariana Sobral é artista visual em São Luis, formada em Desenho pela Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa (2015-2018). A sua prática interdisciplinar integra desenho, pintura, ilustração, design e tatuagem.
Desenvolve um trabalho autoral centrado na relação com a natureza, privilegiando processos sustentáveis e materiais responsáveis, cruzando tradição e contemporaneidade. Entre o atelier e o estúdio de tatuagem, a linguagem das artes visuais expande-se para odesign e para a pele como espaço de expressão artística.
Traço de Território is an illustration and painting project that starts from the practice of tattooing to observe the territory as a collective body, marked by human, natural and symbolic gestures. Through walks, drawing and informal meetings with the community, the artist will collect and translate these “marks” into works created with natural pigments and sustainable materials. The project values collaboration, remaining open to evolving naturally throughout the residency, in dialogue with the place and the people. The process will culminate in an installation that shares with the community the visual cartographies built together.
Mariana Sobral is a visual artist based in São Luís, graduated in Drawing from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon (2015-2018). Her interdisciplinary practice integrates drawing, painting, illustration, design and tattooing. She develops an authorial work centered on the relationship with nature, privileging sustainable processes and responsible materials, bridging tradition and contemporaneity. Between the studio and the tattoo studio, the language of visual arts expands into design and onto the skin as a space for artistic expression.
