PT// O CINEMA FULGOR é um cinema com raízes móveis, itinerante pela constelação espacial do Baixo Alentejo. Cinema composto e semente, pretende participar na construção de uma ruralidade viva e autónoma, convocar e nutrir as diversas e dispersas comunidades, propondo o cinema enquanto experiência comunal e ecológica.

A realizadora Alanis Obomsawin — por vezes com uma pequena equipa, por vezes sozinha — passou 78 dias atrás das linhas Kanien’kéhaka a filmar o impasse armado entre manifestantes, a polícia do Quebec e o exército canadiano. Lançado em 1993, este documentário marcante foi visto em todo o mundo, ganhou mais de uma dúzia de prémios internacionais e fez história no Festival Internacional de Cinema de Toronto, onde se tornou o primeiro documentário a ganhar o prémio de Melhor Longa-Metragem Canadiana.
Esta exibição é uma oferta do Cinema Fulgor ao encontro de ativistas ecológicos «II Encontro por Justiça Social e Ambiental no Litoral Alentejano».

Cinema-compost and cinema-seed, intend to participate in the construction of a living and autonomous rurality, to convoke and nurture diverse and disparate communities, proposing cinema as a communal and ecological experience.

Director Alanis Obomsawin—at times with a small crew, at times alone—spent 78 days behind Kanien’kéhaka lines filming the armed standoff between protestors, the Quebec police and the Canadian army. Released in 1993, this landmark documentary has been seen around the world, winning over a dozen international awards and making history at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it became the first documentary ever to win the Best Canadian Feature award. Jesse Wente, Director of Canada’s Indigenous Screen Office, has called it a “watershed film in the history of First Peoples cinema.”_
