PT// Nesta residência pretendemos criar um espaço de exploração comum, onde nos encontrámos, a ritmos diferentes, com as potencialidades plásticas de uma série de biomateriais.

Na Cultivamos Cultura e no ArteriaLab, tentámos perceber como é que estes materiais se podem articular com diferentes práticas, apresentando-lhes novos corpos. Novos corpos que respiram e crescem. Crescem tão rápido.

Alimentam-se também. E o tempo passa enquanto o nosso almoço está ao lume.

Ao conhecer estes materiais, a minha residência focou-se na relação que fui construindo com a Kombucha – durante o longo processo de preparação deste material algo mudou. Estava a alimentar uma relação de troca, claramente desequilibrada, e a preocupar-me com este corpo, com esta vida, que estava a criar.

Tudo aquilo que fazemos influencia o outro. Tudo aquilo que o outro faz, influencia-nos. Estamos numa constante relação de trocas com alguém, com algo, com um vazio repleto de seres.

Através de diferentes situações performativas questionei o conceito de corpo e de presença, tecendo paralelos entre marcas e cicatrizes, camadas e pele, contaminação e perda, cuidado e maternidade.

ENG// During this residency we intended to create a common space of exploration, where we met, at different paces, with the plastic potentialities of a series of biomaterials.

At Cultivamos Cultura and at ArteriaLab, we tried to understand how these materials could articulate with different practices, presenting them with new bodies. New bodies that breathe and grow. They grow so fast.

They also feed themselves. And time passes while our lunch is cooking.

As I got to know these materials, my residency focused on the relationship I was building with Kombucha – during the long process of preparing this material something changed. I was nurturing an relationship of exchange, clearly unbalanced, and caring about this body, this life, that I was creating.

Everything we do influences the other. Everything the other does influences us. We are in a constant exchange relationship with someone, with something, with a void full of beings.

Through different performative situations I questioned the concept of body and presence, weaving parallels between marks and scars, layers and skin, contamination and loss, care and maternity.

Diana Mordido Aires (Vila Nova de Milfontes, 1997) é especializada em Ourivesaria, pela Escola Secundária Artística António Arroio, estudou Pintura na Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa (FBAUL) e é licenciada em Mediação Artística e Cultural pela Escola Superior da Educação de Lisboas (ESELx). Estagiou e colaborou com diferentes organizações culturais -Atelier Concorde, Casa das Histórias Paula Rego, Cultivamos Cultura, Fundação Eugénio de Almeida – Centro de Arte e Cultura, RH 1. É nestes contextos, e na sua prática artística, que explora a interdisciplinaridade e o conceito de “território”, ao produzir discursos, dinâmicas e atividades que pretendem aproximar diferentes quotidianos e linguagens. É co-fundadora e Presidente da Associação Portuguesa de Mediação Artística e Cultural. Desde 2019 que trabalha com a Cultivamos Cultura, onde desenvolve projetos educativos e é responsável pela coleção.

Diana Mordido Aires (Vila Nova de Mi/fontes, 1997) is specialized in Jewellery, by Escola Secundária Artística António Arroio, studied Painting at Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa (FBAUL) and has a degree in Artistic and Cultural Mediation by Escola Superior da Educação de Lisboas (ESELx). She has worked as a intern and collaborated with different cultural organisations -Atelier Concorde, Casa das Histórias Paula Rego, Cultivamos Cultura, Fundação Eugénio de Almeida – Centro de Arte e Cultura, RHI. lt is in these contexts, and in her artistic practice, that she explores interdisciplinarity and the concept of “territory’; by producing discourses, dynamics and activities that aim to bring together different daily lives and languages. She is co-founder and President of the Portuguese Association of Artistic and Cultural Mediation. Since 2019 she has been working with Cultivamos Cultura, where she develops educational projects and is responsible for the collection.
