O Gesto de Fazer o Ninho é um projeto artístico de Ânia Pais e Carolina Batalha, com curadoria de Mariana Baião Santos.Partindo do têxtil como linguagem, o projeto olha para o ato de tecer e destecer como gestos de memória, resistência e transformação. Gestos que inscrevem o tempo no corpo e carregam histórias transmitidas entre gerações.
Entre tradição e criação contemporânea, o fio torna-se matéria de pensamento e relação. Um meio para revisitar o legado das mulheres que, ao longo dos séculos, sustentaram silenciosamente tantas estruturas do quotidiano e da cultura.
O Gesto de Fazer o Ninho foi recebido pela Cultivamos Cultura na sua fase de pesquisa, investigação e criação.
Neste dia, abrimos as portas a todes para partilhar este processo, as questões e as formas que têm habitado neste espaço durante a residência.

The Gesture of Making the Nest is an artistic project by Ânia Pais and Carolina Batalha, curated by Mariana Baião Santos.Starting from textiles as a language, the project looks at the act of weaving and unweaving as gestures of memory, resistance, and transformation. Gestures that inscribe time in the body and carry stories transmitted across generations.
Between tradition and contemporary creation, the thread becomes a material of thought and relationship. A means to revisit the legacy of the women who, over the centuries, silently sustained so many structures of everyday life and culture.
The Gesture of Making the Nest was hosted by Cultivamos Cultura during its research, investigation and creation phase.
On this day, we open the doors to everyone to share this process, the questions, and the forms that have inhabited this space during the residency.
