PT// O Arte Institute e a iniciativa RHI, em parceria com a Cultivamos Cultura, têm o prazer de apresentar o FACTT 20/21 – Improbable Times, Festival Transdisciplinar & Transnacional de Arte e Ciência. O festival inaugurou a 28 de Janeiro, às 20h30 (GMT), e foi exibido online no RHI Stage. Este ano estamos a reformular o FACTT! Um projeto inovador e promovido pelo Arte Institute com os parceiros de produção e concepção Cultivamos Cultura e Ectopia (Portugal), In Arts Lab@Ionian University (Greece), ArtSci Salon@The Fields Institute and Sensorium@York University (Canada), School Of Visual Arts (USA), UNAM, Arte+Ciência e Bioscénica (México), and Central Academy of Fine Arts (China).
Juntos vamos trabalhar para concretizar as nossas ideias e criações durante o ano de 2021! FACTT 20/21 – Improbable times apresenta uma série de trabalhos excepcionais com curadoria conjunta da Cultivamos Cultura e dos nossos parceiros. O desafio da tradução do espaço físico tipicamente ocupado numa exposição para um que vive como uma experiencia híbrida, envolve repensar a materialidade do trabalho em si. Também questiona se podemos viver e interagir uns com os outros remotamente e em pessoa produzindo resultados creativos e colaborativos onde nos podemos imergir. Improbable Times traz uma coleção de trabalhos que refletem os tempos em que vivemos, as dificuldades que enfrentamos e a necessidade de repensar o que o amanhã nos poderá trazer, navega-lo e construir um melhor futuro, além fronteiras.

As séries performativas void * ambience experimentam com som e vídeo desenvolvido com especial atenção em topografias e redes através das quais estes se desenrolam. Iniciado durante a Covid-19 e o distanciamento social, este projeto explora processos de informação partilhando uma performance em tempo real e uma rede de comunicação protocolada que contribue para a sustentabilidade das comunidades digitais, experiencias partilhadas e intimidades telemáticas. “El Tercero Cuerpo Sonoro” é uma escapatória digital que explora diferentes relações entre o ambiente, a natureza, humanos e não humanos a partir da formulação de um corpo intersubjetivo. O objetivo principal é criar ressonâncias entre e com outros corpos. Nestes tempos complicados que nos fazem crer que a nossa existência acontece em frente a um ecrã, confinados ao espaço do espelho negro, torna-se urgente desafiar os limites e o alcance da vida digital. Precisamos de pensar na forma como vivemos nos outros assim como na nossa própria subjetividade.

A project spearheaded and promoted by the Arte Institute we are in or production and conception partners with Cultivamos Cultura and Ectopia (Portugal), InArts Lab@Ionian University (Greece), ArtSci Salon@The Fields Institute and Sensorium@York University (Canada), School of Visual Arts (USA), UNAM, Arte+Ciência and Bioscénica (Mexico), and Central Academy of Fine Arts (China).
Together we will work and bring into being our ideas and actions for this during the year of 2021!FACTT 20/21 – Improbable Times presents a series of excepcional artworks jointly curated by Cultivamos Cultura and our partners. The challenge of a translation from the physical space that artworks occupy typically, into an exhibition that lives as a hybrid experience, involves rethinking the materiality of the work itself. It also questions whether we can live and interact with each other remotely and in person producing creative effective collaborative outcomes to immerse ourselves in. Improbable Times brings together a collection of works that reflect the times we live in, the constraints we are faced with, the drive to rethink what tomorrow may bring us, navigate it and build a better future, beyond borders.

The performance series void * ambience experiments with sound and video content that is developed through a focus on the topographies and networks through which these flow. Initiated during the time of COVID and social distancing, this project explores processes of information sharing, real-time performance and network communication protocols that contribute to the sustenance of our digital communities, shared experiences and telematic intimacies.“El Tercero Cuerpo Sonoro” project is a digital drift that explores different relationships with the environment, nature, humans and non-humans from the formulation of an intersubjective body. Its main search is to generate resonances with and among the others. In these complicated times in which it seems that our existence unfolds in front of the screen, confined to the space of the black mirror, it becomes urgent to challenge the limits and scopes of digital life. We need to rethink the way in which we inhabit the others as well as our own subjectivity.
