The workshop “Art and Science” is a space for experimentation and creation, which brings art and science territories together. Our aim is an introduction to this field through the understanding and exploring of the concept of the ecosystem: in a first moment with the presentation and discussion of concepts, references and artworks exploring issues that are shared by art and science, and secondly, with a gathering of natural elements from the surrounding area and the creation of a microlandscape within a Petri dish.

Trainers: Marta de Menezes & Luís Graça

The workshop MICROLANDSCAPES is a space of experimentation and creation that approaches the territory of art and science in two moments. First, presentation and discussion of concepts, observation of references and works of art that explore issues that are transversal to art and science. In a second moment, through the collection of organic elements of the space, the participants will materialize a new possibility of thinking the landscape and will create a microlandscape inside a petri dish.
